Getting a little noise on the phone. Please remember to mute if you're not speaking. Thanks!

Stan: Part of WSDOT's strategic plan is centered around the concept of practical solutions. It's a principle in which the board should consider taking a leadership role. There are existing opportunities for the board to align some of its strategies and goals with those of the agency, and more will continue to present themselves as time goes on.

We're moving to our next agenda item: the legislative update.

Karen: We're moving forward with a separate piece of legislation in the form of the proposal for an efficiency grants program. It's been received favorably thus far by folks in the House.

It's important to note that this proposal is separate from the request for the base program. This funding would be in addition to that which the state already receives for the overall program.
